Breaking my silence!

Happy 23rd Birthday Michael!!!

Hi everyone... I know I don't ever use this anymore and in the future will only use it in spurts to release pent up creative energy, but I couldn't resist breaking my xanga silence to say Happy Birthday to my husband! I know this may be mushy, but it's worth the shocked look that will be on his face when he sees I actually opened up on xanga! (Something he's been bugging me about for a looooong time)

Michael, in all the years I've known you, you've time and time again proved yourself to be the most faithful person I know. The way you work hard and dedicate yourself to any task put to you shows the depth of your character. Especially all of the ways you dedicate yourself to me... you have totally rocked my world with the things you do to show me how much you honor me! From the little things like cleaning the house when you sense I'm going to come home stressed and tired, reading a book I like just so I can talk to you about it, or the bigger things like praying for me to the point that I feel it's affects and know you are with me in spirit. I have never before felt so comfortable, so at home than when I am with you.

I am falling more in love with you each day, and I don't think that will ever stop. Even on the days when we don't see much of each other, I am thinking of you and just that thought warms my heart. You are every bit and MUCH more than the man I knew I was marrying... God continues to reveal surprises to me, and I love that!

Through all of the hard things that we've faced lately, you have shown your courage and your amazing leadership qualities. I love that I know when things get rough, I can look to your example to help me get through it. I am so excited, and I cannot wait to see where God brings you during the next season! You have been so faithful during the dry season, I know He is going to reward you (and I, being your wife, get to reap the benefits... haha)

I know it's hard sometimes with our busy schedules, coming and going all of the time. But you make each day sweet, and you make such a tremendous effort to keep them from getting stressful by encouraging me to calm down and relax with you. I hope to start taking your lead in that more often, because you are my rock, and I know that you know what is best for me.

So, to my husband of almost 6 incredible months, know that through it all, I am always loving you.

Happy 23rd Birthday!

Hope to see y'all at the wedding!

Despite popular opinion (namely Lynn and Michael) I AM going to make efforts to keep this going.

Possibly just to prove them wrong.

Seeing that my photography has gotten loads better, and I've learned under some very experienced people, I've ventured into the world of graduation/wedding/bar mitzvah photography- and gotten great results. I just finished three shoots this weekend, and may already have three more lined up for the following week!

Below are some of my favorites from the lovely Kathleen. Sometime in the future I'll post more of what I've been doing here...

I'm back!

Well, sort of. Not sure how long this is going to last. I'm really horrible at journaling... which is funny seeing that I'm a journalist. But after spending all day writing articles and editing at work, I have no energy to write for myself.

However, seeing that as of Feb 25th I am an ENGAGED woman (heck yes!), I figure I'll have a whole lot more to say as I enter into the wedding planning zone and make all efforts to stop myself from turning into bridezilla.

That's right... the most incredible man has asked me to marry him, and I am so looking forward to spending the rest of my life with him. He puts up with all of my quirks and loves me despite them!

Soon to follow are the engagement story, other stories of things that have happened while we've been here, plans that are in the works, etc.

For now I have to get back to a story on a woman delegate to the UN from Israel... first Israeil woman to ever be part of the women's delegation. After all, it is the UN's "Year of the Girl", it's only fitting and timely... if I could push myself to get in done now that it's already 6 hours late... oops.

Catch ya later
